2. Scope of Services

We operate as:

  • A buyer and seller of taxis and related vehicles.

  • A broker, facilitating introductions and negotiations between buyers and sellers.

  • A consignment agent, selling vehicles on behalf of owners.

Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, any agreement for the sale or purchase of a vehicle is between the buyer and the seller, and we do not act as an agent for either party.

By accessing or using our website, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into contracts.

You agree not to:

  • Use our site for unlawful or fraudulent purposes.

4. Vehicle Listings & Information

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that information about vehicles is accurate and up to date. However, we do not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or reliability of any listing or description.
All vehicle descriptions, specifications, and prices are subject to change without notice.

Prospective buyers must conduct their own inspections, checks, and due diligence before purchasing. We recommend all buyers satisfy themselves as to the vehicle’s condition and suitability before completing any transaction.

5. Trade Sales – Sold as Seen

All vehicles sold by The Taxi Broker are sold as trade sales and are sold as seen, without any warranty, guarantee, or representation (express or implied) unless specifically stated otherwise in writing.

By purchasing a vehicle from us, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • The sale is conducted on a trade basis, not a consumer sale.

  • Vehicles are sold as seen, in the condition viewed and inspected.

  • No warranty is offered or implied regarding the condition, fitness for purpose, or roadworthiness of any vehicle unless expressly confirmed in writing by us.

  • The Taxi Broker (Hemming Capital Ltd) shall not be liable for any faults, defects, or repairs required after the point of sale.

  • Responsibility for all costs, maintenance, and repairs passes to the buyer upon completion of the sale.

This clause forms a fundamental term of all vehicle transactions.

6. Brokerage & Consignment Terms

When acting as a broker or consignment agent:

  • We introduce buyers and sellers and may assist in negotiations.

  • Commission or fees will be agreed in writing prior to engagement.

  • We are not responsible for the condition of any third-party vehicles or for the performance of any buyer or seller.

  • Title to any vehicle passes only when full payment has been received and cleared.

7. Payments

Where The Taxi Broker buys or sells vehicles directly, payment terms will be set out in the relevant sales invoice or agreement.
For brokerage or consignment arrangements, fees are payable as specified in the written agreement or invoice.

Payments must be made in GBP (£) by the agreed method. Late payments may attract additional charges.

8. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We accept no liability for any indirect, consequential, or incidental losses or damages.

  • We are not responsible for defects, breakdowns, or repair costs after the point of sale.

  • Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, images, graphics, and logos, remains the property of Hemming Capital Ltd or its licensors.
